Lark Lands does over-the-phone individual health education consultations for those living with chronic diseases or in need of resolving symptoms or health problems. She also works with people who wish to do an overall preventive program for long-term health and aging well. The ultimate aim of doing the consults is to assist each person in creating and fine-tuning an individualized, integrated program based on each person’s particular needs, and ensure that each person has a full understanding of all the components of an aggressive, comprehensive, integrated approach to health.
The intent of the consult is to help each person narrow down the flood of information that many people find online into a carefully designed program that is individualized specifically for them. Information will be provided on antioxidants, amino acids, fatty acids and other nutrients and herbs that may help boost health and address current symptoms.
Based on the case history and other information given to her either in advance or during the consult, Lark will discuss with each person the components that should be considered for a total approach to health, including the nutrients and other therapeutics that might be appropriate for that person, whether the goal is addressing current problems or simply creating a long-term health maintenance plan, along with recommendations for discussions with the person’s physician about any drug or medical care issues. NOTE: no medical recommendations can or will be made. Those are appropriately obtained only from your physician.
If you wish to use your consult time more efficiently, it would be helpful if you would fill out the “Health History Form” (Microsoft Word format) and email it to Lark in advance.
Consults must usually be scheduled between the hours of 2:00 and 5:00 P.M. Mountain Time, (that’s 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Eastern, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM Central, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Pacific), on Monday through Friday only. Initial consults usually take approximately one hour to an hour and a half, with follow-ups usually much shorter. The fee for a first consult includes not only that hour or more on the phone but also Lark’s time (often one to two hours) preparing the package of information that will be sent out, including individualized recommendations and, where appropriate, other articles and links to appropriate sources of information. She also includes in the initial consult fee a short follow up call to answer any questions the person has after receiving the information. The fee for these three components of the initial consult is $250.00 The fee for any follow up consult is simply based on the time required, with a cost of $30 per quarter hour. Payment can be made via personal check or money order.
